The FCO recommend towards all travel to Jammu and Kashmir excluding (i) journey within the city Jammu, (ii) vacation by air to the town of Jammu, (iii) journey inside the area of Ladakh. The FCO recommend from all but vital journey to the city of Srinagar and travel between the towns of Jammu and Srinagar over the Jammu-Srinagar nationwide freeway.
